The mutant metaphor takes in a wide range of minority situations. I remember reading during the '90s that X-Men comics were particularly popular with teenage boys who were gay, Jewish or black. __________________

Oh, sorry. I was just wondering because I thought that Kirby was the first one to draw the Surfer.

Yeah he was. He drew him in the Fantastic Four. Silver Surfer's own title came later. It's generally regarded as some of Buscema's best art. You really need to beef up your Marvel history knowledge.

Sorry, I'm a bit sketchy on the 60's comics. I didn't start reading until the 70's. The only 60's comics I read were the ones my mom had.

Dude, I wasn't around during the '60s either, but I still know John Buscema pencilled the Silver Surfer's first series.

Thanks, sum1. I got more into the stuff that was being written and drawn when I was reading. I got lazy when it came to doing homework or research.

Hey, I would've researched more, but my dad's bankruptcy interrupted a lot of my literary development in the 90's.

I have very little free time anymore, sum1. I can't even go to the movies like I used to.
