Looks like legendary X-Men writer Chris Claremont blames Hollywood for the X-Men titles dropping in sales. :( Because of Fox owning the film rights to X-Men, Marvel is not promoting the comics as much because they want to focus on the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the titles that Marvel/Disney owns the film rights to. They've even told their writers to not create any new X-Men characters.

Oh noes  that's not good
Yeah, this situation with Marvel is just bad all around. :( They should never have sold all of their titles back in the 90's when they went bankrupt.
Been bad for a bit too
Urgh...I know it's not that easy, but it would be so much easier/better if the Marvel universe license and X-Men films license were both under the same ownership.
it really would so we aren't so confused on who is alllowed in what
Well, the problem is that Fox is pretty much dug in with X-Men, as long as the films are profitable. Marvel stands a better chance at getting Fantastic Four back from Fox than X-Men. :(
Oh
They are already thinking to Deadpool 3? :thud:
Wow, they're really liking Deadpool.
Thanks, LightYears! :) I'm glad that Mystique will be back, but it's a shame that Singer won't be returning. Although I did give him a hard time for those first two X-Men films. X-Force should be interesting. |
So he'll never return? :goof:
^He'll be busy with other projects, but it doesn't mean he's done with X-Men forever. I expect him to remain as a producer for the upcoming X-Men movies.
Hope he comes back to the movies  somehow
