Quote:
X-Men: The Last Stand (also known as X-Men 3 or X3) is a 2006 superhero film, based on the X-Men superhero team introduced in Marvel Comics. The film, distributed by 20th Century Fox, is the third installment in the X-Men film series. It was directed by Brett Ratner, written by Simon Kinberg and Zak Penn, and features an ensemble cast, including Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Anna Paquin, and Famke Janssen. The film's script is loosely based on two X-Men comic book story arcs: "The Dark Phoenix Saga" by writer Chris Claremont and artist John Byrne, and "Gifted" by writer Joss Whedon and artist John Cassaday, with a plot that revolves around a "mutant cure" that causes serious repercussions among mutants and humans, and on the resurrection of Jean Grey.

This is my least favourite, a certain death (which can be discussed in the rant thread I made ) turned me off to it. Mainly it was a good movie but that one part put a bad taste in my mouth for the movie

I have a lot of problems with this movie but I did like Colossus' scene with throwing Wolverine, Kitty/Bobby, the dangerroom being used.

I like this movie except for the deaths. I thought it was only done for the surprise factor but I'm glad that with DOFP, it looks like this movie never happened.

Oh and I love Beast here.

I have to say I still watch it though, because I do like some aspects. Whilst Origins and Wolverine I avoid

I'll watch the movie for re-watches but not happy about it when I do but am glad that DOFP made this movie go bye bye in the X-Men world

I also like aspects of the movie but the deaths were rough, Scott's death was pointless even if he was heart broken about Jean. They didn't need to kill him, god Scott got nothing out of these movies even if he's a big part of X-Men world (Cartoons/Comics) Now the Professor's death didn't annoy me, cause tbh with what he did to the Phoenix, she was pissed and out of control. So that was hard and sad, but didn't piss me off. Than Jean's death, had to happen and that was an amazing scene

jean had turned into Dark Phoenix ,they just never gave her the costume like the comic book .

in fact the pics i posted on her thread, really show her fury and look .

So somewhere after this move and next two Professor X returned to life . I remeber the end of the movie where his voice is heard in another body

I will need to rewatch this but I remember leaving the cinema and being pissed about what happened. I remember parts of it (like the deaths of course) but the overall SL (which I think was Jean-heavy), is hazy.

I didn't /hate/ this movie, but yeah a lot of it was problematic. I do like Eric Dane as multiple man in it though

I didn't even know who Eric was back then. I mean, I only really got to know him when he did G.A.

Also about Jean, she spends most of the movie glaring, not talking, and frowning. Which to me, is not what Phoenix is about But we'll try to focus on the positives! Like Ellen for example. I am so glad she was recast for Kitty (in x1 she was played by someone else but had a tiny role.)

Good way to put it but it had quite a few problematic things

She actually looks a bit like Kitty in the cartoons so I was happy with the role getting recast.
