But Kinberg wasn't the director/writer for Deadpool or Logan. So yeah I can see him making her Jean's Mother. Plus FOX would love it.

Fox learned their lesson? This is the same studio who made that awful FF movie, and butchered The Fantastic Four 3 times. When the FF is back at home, that's when I will believe they have finally learned their lesson.

Yeah, but FF came out a while back, dragonfire.

The original two movies came out a decade ago. I think Fox has redeemed itself since then with Days of Future Past, Apocalypse, Deadpool, and Logan.

And I've heard that FF is gonna get another reboot, so they may be starting over from scratch with that.

So I'll remain hopeful that Dark Phoenix isn't gonna do something stupid.

DOFP directed by Singer, Deadpool directed by Miller, and Logan directed by Mangold. No they announced a Doom movie. I'm sorry but I don't trust FOX with the X-Men or the FF.

Fox has a better record with its X-Men movis than with its Fantastic Four movies. I think it's obvious they take the X-Men franchise more seriously and put more effort into it.

They can be hit and miss. They definitely need new blood for the main X-Men movies though. I don't trust Simon Kinberg at all, which is why I'm not excited for this movie. If this flops, hopefully it sends a clear message to FOX that he should only be producing movies, instead of writing or directing them.

Well, I for one hope it doesn't flop and they do a good job. This is their second chance to get the Dark Phoenix storyline right, as well as getting Scott and Jean right. I'd prefer they hit the mark and knock this one out of the park instead of screwing up again.
