Probably. The Mouse doesn't ike r-rated stuff. It's like an ideology. They wouldn't even let the Marvel Netflix shows have nudity or the f-word, and they're for adults. Pisses me off. Narrow-minded prudishness.

Why are you always so pessimistic, dragonfire? I don't think that Disney is gonna neuter all Fox films because no filmmaker is gonna want to work with them if that's the case. I think that Disney will allow Fox and Marvel to do their thing and save the family-friendly stuff for Disney and Pixar. Just like Comcast lets Universal do the more serious stuff while DreamWorks does the more kid-friendly stuff. Logan and Deadpool were too successful for them to just force the X-Men films to tone it down. I'm guessing it'll all depend on the individual films. And Disney also owns ABC, which does some provocative TV as well, like Quantico and Scandal. But I'm just glad we're finally getting some good Dark Phoenix stuff.

Disney's made Marvel and Lucasfilm go family-friendly as well. Chances are they'll make Fox go that way too. I think they feel they have to keep up the reputation.

I hope not, sum1. That would ruin things. Comic book movie adaptations can't always been touchy-feely. They also have to have an edge when needs be. If they want more Logans and Deadpools they'll have to compromise on that. Even Spider-Man has darker stories like Kraven's Last Hunt and The Death of Jean DeWolff that could make excellent material. Filmmakers aren't gonna want to tell the same damn story over and over again.

I don't know if Disney wants more Logans and Deadpools. They may be dead-set against that. I don't know if they want to put anything but the same old safe stuff.

I favour a realistic, secptical approach. Being optimistic just sets you up for a nasty fall. That's how I survived the US election. I bet Trump was going to win. That softened the blow when he did.

Again, I'll wait and see. Fox isn't gonna let Disney force them to make cartoons for the rest of their existence. They still have more Alien films to make, and those certainly aren't gonna be PG rated.
