Beta-males aren't necessarily short, nor are short males necessarily beta-males. Look at the comic book version of Wolverine. He's 5'3" and he's no beta for sure. And while he's an extreme example, he echoes many real-life men who are short but formidable. Similarly, tall men can be betas. One can argue that Colossus is, for all his physical strength.

I don't know, I think Marsden has a fairly strong presence. But Tye comes off too much like an awkward kid in the role.

Really? You think Marsden had a strong presence even in the first movie? They kept marginalizing him in favor of Wolverine. I agree with Tye.

That's a matter of how they treated him in the film, which is different from the question of what sort of acting presence he has.

Well, I just didn't like the way Cyclops was represented in the films regardless.

And I have to go to bed now, sum1. Daylight Savings Time ends today and we set our clocks back, so I'm gonna catch up on that extra hour before I have to go into work tomorrow morning. I'll see you tomorrow. Goodnight and sleep well!

Thanks for the link, LightYears! She's a welcome addition to the X-Men universe.

She'd have been better as Jean Grey.

She can play Jean as an adult.

I don't think Jean's ever been portrayed as that old in the comics... unless it's a future Jean. All of these characters over somewhere between their late 20's and early 30's.
