Babylon 5. I felt that Deep Space 9 was ripping off B5 as they went along. Everyone knows that Paramount got a hold of J. Michael Straczynski's B5 manuscript when he first pitched it to Paramount in the late 80's before finally getting Warner Bros. to produce it in the early 90's. And it wasn't just the first season format that DS9 copied, they copied B5's long term story arc as well. They had the Dominion being their version of the Shadows, and Sisko's storyline copied elements of both Sinclair's storyline(Sinclair surviving the Battle of the Line against the Minbari and Sisko surviving the Battle of Wolf 395 against the Borg) and Sheridan's storyline(Sisko being taken by the Prophets the way Sheridan was taken by Lorien and the First Ones).

DS9 was still the best of the old Star Trek shows.
Farscape. Stargate is garbage. Farscape isn't perfect either, but at least it's not cardboard like Stargate. Same question. __________________

I only liked the original Star Trek, to be honest. Next Generation didn't start getting good until season 3. I heard good things about DS9, but I couldn't stop comparing it to B5. Battlestar Galactica or Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda? __________________
