On the contrary the art of filmmaking has advanced over time and a lot of films that looked good in the '80s and '90s look weak now.

Well, no.
 You're entitled to your opinion, sum1.  And we all have our likes and dislikes. While I personally think that cinematic technology has certainly improved, I question whether the storytelling and filmmaking talent is as good as it once was, that's all. I think it may have peaked in the 70s, 80s, and 90s. I don't find myself liking as many films that have come out over the last 10 years or so.__________________

 I know people have different takes on art and cinema. Just like you like certain comic book characters and movies more than I do, and some that I like you don't like. I mean, even movie critics can disagree, you know? Siskel & Ebert didn't always agree. __________________
