I disliked the fact that Logan's focus moved to Jean in the third film despite the fact that she was always clearly in love with Scott , Rogue was always there for him.

I disliked it because I never liked the movies focusing more on Jean and Logan instead of Scott and Jean. That's why I liked the newer films more.

Yeah, and they got Rogue with Bobby, and that wasn't that interesting.

I think Jean and Logan are about as exciting as a raspberry. They're so boring, geez. Anyway, here are some Rogue & Wolverine gifs!

Thanks for those gifs! Yeah, I agree. That first movie did seem a bit confused. They tried to do the Jean/Logan thing, but the ending was all Logan/Rogue. Jean is better with Scott.

^ Definitely, I'm a bit disappointed that Logan/Rogue didn't have more scenes in the Rogue cut of DOFP

Especially since one person we really didn't need was Ellen Page's Kitty Pryde character. Kitty developing a secondary mutation made no damn sense whatsoever. I know that Kitty is the one who went back in time to stop the future from happening in the comics, but if you're gonna send Wolverine instead, then there's no point in having Kitty in the film at all. It would've made more sense if Rogue had absorbed this ability from someone else and used it to send Logan back.

Kitty would have been great if she'd been cast right. Olivia Thirlby, Hailee Steinfeld, etc.

Absolutely true. I didn't buy Jean/Logan at all. There wasn't any reason on either side for much of a romantic interest, past the whole "the only person I can't have" thing, which gets old after about five minutes of conversation. Jean is better with Scott.

Those are good casting ideas, sum1.

I agree. The first movie did that whole thing because it was in the comics since the 1970s, but by the 1990s in the comics, Scott and Jean were married and that whole triangle thing had played itself out.

Jean and Scott weren't married until about January 1994. And they dragged the Jean/Logan thing back a year later with Age of Apocalypse.

Yes, I know. I stopped collecting comics after 1992, but I do remember reading about Scott and Jean's wedding, and I did see the Age of Apocalypse stuff. But since that's alternate reality I don't count that. I did miss out on the whole Redd & Slymm thing.

You missed the best of the '90s. 1993 was the crowning year.
