Weren't they in the 80's? I remember Byrne's work in Fantastic Four, especially after She-Hulk took over for The Thing. Damn, she looked good in that FF outfit.

Me too and it seems weird because they had hardly any character development but we are suppose to be believe he loves her in the movies. Best relationship development was Wolverine/Rogue in the first X-men movie.

The Wolverine/Rogue development in the first movie wasn't really romantic. Rogue was into Wolverine, but to him she was more like a little sister, a kid he was looking after. In the comics Wolverine has an older brother style or fatherly relationship with mutiple young female mutants at different times. Such as Shadowcat, Jubilee and, for a time, Rogue. It's not a romantic thing at all. It was very clear at the end of the first film that Wolverine didn't share Rogue's feelings. She may want him, but he wants Jean. Now personally I'd prefer if he'd focused on Storm, but that's the way it is.

Well, it's become redundant now because both the movies and the comics have veered away from any Rogue/Wolverine interaction. It is a shame that they never resolved things between them in the movies with Days of Future Past, but oh well.

Rogue is still one of Marvel's most popular female characters. I'm sure we'll see more of her in the ebooted X-Men.

Agree. I didn't like Logan's constant pining after Jean either. Way to pick the ONLY woman in the group who is unavailable and fabricate an 'iconic love' with her. No commitment issues there or nothing, noooooooo. *sarcasm* Plus Cyclops is absolutely too much of a catch in his own right to ever be second choice.

But I adore Rogue & Wolverine. In every verse, every genre, their connection is undeniable and deeper and ... beautiful. *hearts*
