I know, right? March is such a schizophrenic month, weather-wise. Spring is about to start, but Winter just won't go out quietly, it goes kicking and screaming. We had a blizzard hit us back in March, 1993, that knocked out the entire northeast.

Yeah, I don't know how Wolverine handled living in Canada.

Damn cold kept me from seeing Logan. And next week isn't looking much better.

Well, Wolverine was the main character in DOFP, which probably pisses off Kitty Pryde, because she was the one who went back in time in the comics.

I really loved how well they incorporated Wolverine into the First Class cast. The scenes in the future were almost redundant by comparison.

Well, I never saw First Class because of how angry I was with the franchise's treatment of Cyclops and Jean Grey. It's pretty much the same way I feel about the MCU's treatment of Hank and Janet. Now, if the MCU fixes things I might watch their movies again, just like Fox won me back with DOFP and Apocalypse because they fixed Scott and Jean. But I was talking more about DOFP, and how well Hugh's Logan meshed with the First Class cast.

If you never saw First Class you missed out on the best X-Men film. And Deadpool's the best apart from that and I don't think you've seen that either.

First Class is the best of the franchise

Yes, I know, sum1. Again, I was very angry at the Fox X-Men franchise for their unfair treatment of Scott and Jean, and First Class was to me just another slap in the face, considering that Scott and Jean are supposed to be the "First Class," along with Hank, Bobby, and Warren. As it stood, the only member of the cast in First Class who was an actual original X-Man was Hank McCoy/Beast. All the other characters had been introduced years later. I mean, Havok on the X-Men before his brother, Cyclops? Really? Talk about misrepresentation. I also didn't like Emma Frost being around back in the 60's, presumably when Scott was still just a kid.

I may be in the minority, but I actually liked Scott and Emma's relationship while it lasted because it gave Scott a storyline that didn't revolve around Jean for once, and allowed him to define himself for a time. Of course the relationship collapsed, but it did give Scott a story arc of his own that didn't involve him being defined by Jean. And now they have the teenage Scott and Jean from the past transported to the present day as a way of "starting over" with them, although they ended up getting Scott involved with Laura/X-23 briefly. Cue the Cyclops/female Wolverine metaphors.

But because of Days of Future Past and Apocalypse, I've made my peace with Fox now that they've undone the damage they did to Scott and Jean somewhat, so I guess I'll eventually get around to watching First Class. And I definitely need to see Deadpool.
