Actually, my father told me this. It's well-known in the family.

You're welcome, Theresa!

Yeah, I thought you'd like Hugh's language there, sum1.

This is pretty damn cool! It is already going down in history as the "leggiest" film with the best word of mouth since Titanic, and to see graphs showing its box office trajectory is awesome. Even this weekend, in its 6th week at the box office, The Greatest Showman still finished 4th and barely saw a decline from the amount it made last week. This almost never happens.

It's just so amazing to see audiences stand up for what they like and ignore critics.

When The Greatest Showman first came out, there were so many articles put out that it was a "bomb" and a "flop" since nobody came to see it the first week after the way critics mocked the film. Who would have thought that 6 weeks later, we would still be talking about this movie at the box office? Who would have thought it would be making way more money in its 6th weekend than it did its first weekend? That it would consistently be getting in the top 4 at the box office for 5 weekends in a row? That it would still be playing in cinemas multiple times a day, whereas Star Wars: The Last Jedi is no longer playing in cinemas where I live?
Who would have thought that The Greatest Showman's soundtrack would be #1 on the Billboard charts and make even more money in album sales this weekend than it did the previous week? I find it inspiring. Hugh Jackman, the director, and crew really believed in the movie and put so much heart into it and the box office results really do transcend awards.

Good for Hugh.
You might still hate it, sum. I mean - it is a very cheesy movie, but it's such great fun and so uplifting that it's hard not to admire the heart and effort that the performers and everyone involved put into it. Have you seen this?

When is the last time you saw an actor put so much heart and soul into getting a project made? (the answer, ironically, is probably Hugh Jackman *again* for Logan - for anyone who saw the behind-the-scenes effort he'd put into getting it made, lol). It inspires me.

Thanks for that, Theresa!

OMG, this is the leggiest film since Titanic. I hardly ever see a movie that lasts this long on word of mouth these days. I'm also a bit surprised about Jumanji. Guess that's what Karen Gillan in a pair of shorts and an exposed midriff does.

'Greatest Showman' And 'Jumanji' Continue To Make Box Office History
