The Wolverine is a 2013 superhero film featuring the Marvel Comics character Wolverine. The film, distributed by 20th Century Fox, is the sixth installment in the X-Men film series. In the film which follows the events of X-Men: The Last Stand, Logan travels to Japan, where he engages an old acquaintance in a struggle that has lasting consequences. Stripped of his immortality, Wolverine must battle deadly samurai while struggling with guilt.

Going to have to re-watch it but first impression was that it was  and wasn't too huge of a fan of it :look:

We should organise our first rewatch

crash landing 08-02-2014 02:24 PM

I was thinking that but we should wait until we our within our first month and wait until we have our moderators :) give time for people to make their way in and get a regular flow of things than do a re-watch

some critics didnt like the movie , i enjoyed it . The theme . well part of it was used on marvel animation done in japan shown on G-4 . The story of Logan in japan saving the young Japanese woman from evil fahter etc . same story that he had saved her father during a nuclear blast . Only thing added was the Logan being haunted buy Jean in his dreams

This was extra credit scene to set up Days of future past

Sure, that sounds better.

Up to what everyone wants  so maybe we can do one now or wait a month or two until the board is fully in with :ff:

L i N d $ @ y 08-03-2014 12:46 AM

We can definitely do a rewatch. How about we start with the first X-Men movie first? Then work our way towards this one? Perhaps re-watch for a month? Next X-Men movie won't be until 2016 so we have time.

Matt, thanks for that feedback. I didn't enjoy the movie that much because I guessed the ending and I was right, I didn't want to be right. I didn't read the comics too but maybe if I did I would've enjoyed this movie more?

crash landing 08-03-2014 10:16 AM

Oh for sure a re-watch but the question is when :rotfl: I'm thinking we should wait until we are atleast a month old, let us get the board off its feet and get our regulars. Than either make the movies discussion thread the place for the re-watch or make a re-watch thread. Think we won't be able to watch it together but maybe set a certain day, like a Saturday and just have the thread open for opinions

I didn't read the comics either, maybe that's why I didn't like it either  Also didn't like no subtitles on the dled versions I have found. I know, I know, physical dvd properly has the Japanese titles but that was also sorta hard

L i N d $ @ y 08-04-2014 02:13 AM

I agree. A month would be good because that time we're sure to have regular posters on the board. And the permanent mods can set-up the rewatch at a time convenient for all.

This is the only X-Men movie I don't have a copy of because I don't plan on getting it as obviously I didn't enjoy the film. I barely remembered what happened. All I know is that Wolverine's Japanese friend (or so he thinks) betrayed him in the end.

LucyGu 08-04-2014 02:22 AM

Yaaaay, rewatch :yay:

I didn't like this movie either, it was terribly boring.

crash landing 08-04-2014 11:19 AM

That's what my opinion was  let the board blossom and wait until the perm mods are around and they can go ahead to do the re-watch

When I get the X-Men movies on DVD cause only have the 1st, lent my copy of X2 and X3 out but never got them back :pout: so when I do get the movies I will buy this one cause I'm a collector even if I'm not a fan of this one. Granted properly be a year or two, wait until out of this one bedroom apartment and get a house cause I have a dvd stand and that's all cause my bf had this place first with how its devoted to his Halo collection :rotfl: so this dvd stand is already full and still have movies

L i N d $ @ y 08-05-2014 12:47 AM

I don't lend my DVDs. I'm very stubborn like that because I'm not sure if I'll get them back. I'm selfish when it comes to that.

crash landing 08-05-2014 11:08 AM

I've learned :rotfl: that's for sure, maybe cause lent a movie to the couple that lives downstairs :lmao: here's hoping that I get it back before they move, but they aren't moving far. So will still get it back
