^ Better not. You do know the IRA disarmed a good while back, right? And that they were mostly not active in the Republic of Ireland (the free part of Ireland)? Even the breakaway groups have pretty much ceased action and they've never been active anywhere outside Northern Ireland. As far as anybody from Dublin is concerned, the Troubles might as well have happened in an entirely different country. And according to the British they did. And just so you know, comments on leprechauns and potatoes border on racist. It's a bit like making comments about watermelons to an African American.
Look, sorry for blowing up at you. It's just the Irish still get a lot of slurs and prejudice and are still the underdog in Europe and in Britain. The potatoes were a staple part of the Irish diet in British rule times because the British conquered the land and made the Irish their tenants and made them live off just potatoes while the British took all the other crops. And when the potatoes went bad everybody starved and the British still sent good crops out of the country. It's a pretty raw memory. And not so many years ago, an Australian politician made fun of the Irish Famine by coming out with a remark to the effect that Irish people don't know how to grow potatoes, which is like making fun of the Holocaust or something. Sure, I like potatoes, but I don't like jokes about it. And I know you didn't mean any harm , but it's hard to see a joke like that on the page and not see red. __________________

^ What you're going by is the astronomical counting of the seasons, which I don't recognize. I go by the meteorological seasons and I can draw on testimony from numerous Americans to support my view that it is followed in America too. By the meteorological seasons, Summer in the Northern Hemisphere (including America) is June, July and August. Winter is December, January and February, Spring is March, April and May and Autumn is September, October and November.

^ The way you two THINK you measure the seasons in the US. I've come across plenty Americans who measure them the same way I do.
