I love the idea of a RP! I used to do one on a forum I was on years ago. What we did was we got people to create their own X-men character and then write bios for them and every so often we'd roleplay and post each bit separately, but have the originals as a guide so people could write in the same style. You could roleplay as existing characters but it made more sense to create so that people who don't know the background can join.

Yeah, I had considered suggesting that on The Flash board,but it's so much more doable here. Really, we can do both. In situations like this, the rule is usually at least 1 canon/fanon character for every twp OC's. There's usually a boy/girl rule, but we have more than enough peeps to go around. I used to be a great Jubilee,but her character was cooler in the early 00's. I don't know that my other ones were all that IC.

Thankfully,I know enough about X-Men not to create a duplicate.

If we were to do this...are we allowed to create a Roleplaying thread where it all can take place in there

or would that not be allowed due to the Roleplaying board already existing

I don't think they'll care. The RP board has been around since 1999 and no one seemed to mind when Charmed did theirs. With the RP board,anyone and their roommate's mother will join. It's not because of a challenge and the games there die out two hours later. Most of the ones I've been in lasted for two threads at the most.

Plus,I doubt they'd like X-Men. I tried starting an Avengers one that was post-movie or AU,but it never even got started. The ones that take are the ones that are only OC's and just based on/scrambled from the fandom source. Since it's a mixed bag there,they want to attract people who know absolutely nothing about the fandom to join. It's worth asking Libby and Mandy(I forget if she's still around),but I doubt they'll mind.

Either way, I'm calling technopathy.

Whatever you all decide, I'm okay with it. It will definitely help the board's post count if we have a RP game.

I'll let a RP thread; but should be kept within that thread. Those that wish to take place can but don't think it should be outside of that thread. Not everyone may want to part take or understand RP...*like me*
