Did Anna film for the movie? Or was she originally in the script and got removed from it?

Thanks for that.

I wish the movies portrayed the super-strong, near-invlunerable Rogue of the comics. Less damsel in distress.

Her scenes were cut from the film, Tia.

I agree, sum1. They made her more like Jubilee as far as her role on the team.

Well, not quite like Jubilee, but certainly not her usual vigorous self.

I mean in the sense that she's the young protégé taken in by the X-Men in the ingénue role, kind of like Jubilee in the 90's X-Men cartoon.

Rouge wasn't portrayed as a superwoman like she was in that same cartoon or in the comics, which sucked.

A lot of X-Men members had that role, not just Jubilee. And that includes Rogue at one point in the comics.

Yeah, but Rogue didn't look that young in the comics. And she had Carol Danvers powers, so she wasn't a damsel in distress either.

Anna Paquin was about 17 when they filmed the first X-Men film. Rogue was 18 when she joined the X-Men and, powers or no, she was pretty vulnerable back then.

Yeah, but Rogue didn't really look like Anna. She was more powerful and statuesque, and Anna looked a tad bit frail.

She did? I just remember how she looked in Secret Wars, when she wore that hooded outfit.

By Secret Wars she'd already passed her earliest period on the team.

That's actually the first time I'd ever seen her.
