I'm so angry at John Byrne for he what he did to Vision. That was totally unnecessary and ruined a great character. When I was a kid, Vision was my favorite Marvel character. John Byrne ruined him and his relationship with Wanda. It was the beginning of John Byrne's decline. He went on to do his crap (and sexist) She Hulk comics, his bland Namor comics, his terrible Wonder Woman run and his flat X-Men: The Lost Years. He used to be so good before then.

Well, I'll go with you on Vision, but I disagree with you about She-Hulk. I didn't think it was sexist at all, it was more or less fourth-wall breaking comedy. A superheroine being sexy isn't sexist, and that type of reaction to female superheroes is what's led to this ridiculous steroid-She-Hulk that we currently have. This idea that a female character can't be feminine or sexy in order to be a hero, that she has to have masculine traits that erase any semblance of femininity from her, seems contradictory to what feminism was supposed to be about.

You obviously don't remember the She Hulk comics very well. They did a lot more than make her sexy. They objectified her every which way all the time, such as drawing her naked on the cover.

She wasn't actually naked. They couldn't get away with that.
I remember that one issue of Fantastic Four where paparazzi in a helicopter got a photo of her nude sunbathing on the roof of the Four Freedoms Plaza, and she attempted to get the photos back from the tabloid newspaper, whose publisher claimed "first amendment rights" since She-Hulk is a public figure. But the laugh was on him, because he forgot to tell the editor that the photos were of a green woman, and the editor mistakenly thought there was a photographic error and color-corrected the photos, giving her normal human skin tone and making She-Hulk look unrecognizable, like just another ordinary woman. I always saw it as Jennifer making fun of her sex-symbol status and playing it for laughs. ![]() __________________

I'm not talking about that cover and she was naked. And it wasn't Jennifer making fun of anything, because she doesn't exist. It was John Byrne being creepy.
