Considering it's set in the '90s, Cable should appear. He's the quintessential '90s Marvel character. Big guns, bad attitude, gritty, rebel approach. He was huge in the '90s.

But they're saving him for Deadpool and X-Force, sadly. I would still hope he'd maybe put in a cameo appearance, since Scott and Jean are his parents.

I know, but it's still Jean's DNA.

Besides, I don't think the movies are gonna go near the Madelyne Pryor storyline. It really isn't one of Scott Summers' best moments. Even current Marvel writers probably look back on that and say, "what the hell were we thinking?"

I enjoyed some of that Spider Man clone thing. Specfically the parts drawn by JRJR. And clones worked fine Cable and Stryfe.

Stryfe is Cable's hyper-powered clone. There was a big crossover story involving him in 1992.

Certainly the idea of the Spider Man clone storyline was dreadful, but they managed to get some good JRJR-pencilled comics out of it.

Stryfe was cloned off Cable in the future because it looked like Cable would die from the techno-organic virus as a baby. Apocalypse's goons stole Stryfe and Apocalypse raised him. Cable was raised by Jean and Scott in other bodies and other names in the future. Eventually they killed Apocalypse. Stryfe set out to get revenge and became a mutant terrorist leader in both the future and the present. He has vast telekinetic powers and telepathic powers. He tangled with Cable in the 20th century when Cable was leading the Wild Pack, he framed Cable for various things by impersonating him, he launched the Mutant Liberation Front. Then in late 1992 there was an X-crossover called the X-Cutioner's Song, which started with Cable shooting Xavier, except it was really Stryfe. In the crossover, Stryfe tried to get revenge on Jean and Scott and eventually fought Cable. All the X-teams except Excalibur were involved. Apocalypse was killed. It was the big thing after Jim Lee left and before Magneto returned.

Damn it, man, you really didn't read comics in the '90s.
