Alex, remind me too tell you sometime how I hated Borgias. I wrote an LJ entry trashing it after I saw the first season.

Jeremy Irons was in it, hamming ridiculously. Most of the actors were terrible and it was totally unfaithful to history. They had this wimpy pretty boy playing Cesare Borgia and the real Cesare Borgia was a real hard man. The English actress who played Lucretia Borgia looked like a baby and did have much acting ability, let alone the ability to portray a character like that. I liked the assassin though -he was about the only good thing in the show. English actor from Harry Brown. Very good.
