Elektra isn't a comic meant for kids to read though, but since she's an assassin what would have had her wear instead?

Marvel comics have had a considerable adult readership since the later '60s at least and it's increased every decade, so I don't think they can be dismissed just as "comics meant for kids to read."
As for what Elektra wore, there's nothing that says that Ninjas or assassins have go around in their bathing suits. And as for female X-Men costumes, Storm and Rogue had full-body costumes around the time Psylocke wore that outfit. __________________

Well, sum1, I must admit that I did like the way that Jim Lee drew female characters. I loved how he drew Catwoman, Poison Ivy, and Lois Lane in Batman: Hush. I apologize.

Jim Lee's art leaves me with mixed feelings. It was dynamic, polished, clear-cut and dramatic, but also a bit cold and sterile. And his distorted anatomy on both women and men sometimes is a bit much for me. At least he wasn't Rob Liefeld.
As regards portrayal of women, a lot of pencillers have problems with that, including even female pencillers like Jan Duursema. I generally like the way John Romita Jr draws women. He doesn't over-sexualize and he puts relatable humanity into them. He's got a sensitive touch. Thanks for providing those links, sum1. Yeah, I liked John Romita, and his dad, John Romita Sr. He worked on The Night Gwen Stacy Died.
I think in the late 80's and early 90's, artists were getting a little crazy with anatomy. Just look at how Todd MacFarlane drew Mary Jane Watson in The Amazing Spider-Man. But I agree about Liefeld. I never liked his drawing. But Lee did go a good Jean Grey. __________________

I never saw the appeal of Liefeld, but he was a huge sensation back then.
Extreme anatomy went right through the '90s I think. __________________

He's great. Personally he's my favorite penciller.

Nice manip of Sophie Turner's face on Jean Grey as Phoenix.
