Yeah, Jim Lee's art has issues. I prefer JRJR, Byrne, John Buscema.

And I was always a fan of Todd Macfarlane, but he tends to be as divisive as Jim Lee. John Byrne is good. I loved his She-Hulk.

Todd McFarlane, he's the Spider-Man guy. I never paid a huge amount of attention to him. Byne did great runs on X-Men, Fantastic Four, West Coast Avengers, Avengers, She-Hulk and others. Not to mention his own Canadian Alpha Flight. He's a great straight-forward penciller.

John Byrne is British by birth, Canadian by upbringing and American by naturalization. His being Canadian is why Wolverine survived as a character and didn't get dumped back in the '70s. Wolverine was about to get dumped when John Byrne joined the X-Men creative team and he decided "They're not dumping the one Canadian character just when I join", so Wolverine stayed around and got developed and became a fan favorite. Byrne wasn't just doing the art on the X-Men, he was co-writer too. The Claremont/Byrne run on the X-Men is one of the most classic. It includes the Days of Future Past storyline, the Dark Phoenix Saga, the introduction of Sebastian Shaw, Emma Frost and the Hellfire Club, and other stories. Along with the introduction of Alpha Flight, the first ever Canadian superhero team.

I also loved Byrne's run on Superman. His Man of Steel miniseries that rebooted and re-launched the Superman title after DC's Crisis On Infinite Earths storyline was as groundbreaking as Frank Miller's Batman: Year One, which did the same for Batman. __________________

What's wrong with him, sum1? I haven't seen it yet, but I just don't like how curly his hair is.

Too wimpy. He couldn't pass as tough if his life depended on it. Plus he's not a good actor in general, even in GOT, and most actors are good in HBO dramas.

Judging by these photos, Thor Ragnarok is going to be total crap. The Thor films started as the best of the Marvel Avengers group of films, but this looks awful. Everything looks fake. Makeup, costumes, Thor's armour and shield, etc. Take a look at Jeff Goldblum and Cate Blanchett. Convincing-looking they're not. Nor is Hemsworth, minus the long hair, blond dye and hammer. And the film's Valkyrie doesn't much resemble the comic book version either. Further down the page is an Iron Fist trailer and review. It looks like total crap. I've had a bad feeling before about these Marvel Netflix shows. The Cage one looks convincing enough, but in Daredevil they cast a bland, posh, soft-looking Englishman as Daredevil, a hard-as-nails working class Irish American vigilante and master warrior. I've never seen anything of the Jessica Jones show, but seeing as the character didn't appear until after Marvel comics declined past the point of my being interested in them, I don't care much either way. Edited in: Huh, the Iron Fist thing is no longer on the page. __________________
