OMG, Steve Ditko?

I can't believe it. He's one of the big three in Marvel along with Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Those three created the Marvel Universe as we know it.

Well I guess he had to die sometime. He was ancient, 90. Jack Kirby died ages ago, only 76.

Makes me worried about Stan Lee. I know he hasn't got much time left either.

Nobody can go on forever. People nowadays think they can live forever. You get headlines like "If you eat red meat you're 20% more likely to die!" and book titles like "How Not to Die." We all die. It's human nature.

Your childhood was mostly after these guys stopped their best-known work.

Yeah, I know. Their best work was in the 1960's, but the guys who followed them in the 70's and 80's were building on what they started. There wouldn't be a Marvel Universe, a Spider-Man, Hulk, Fantastic Four, X-Men, or Avengers without them.
