Why is there a need for a new Black Widow? See, I really don't like what Marvel is doing here. These characters have stood the test of time for over a half century, but now they're doing all this passing of the torch crap to characters no one cares about.

Who needs a Hawkeye show? They bump off and replace Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow, who was a great character, and they give a whole show to Jeremy Renner's zero-personality version of Hawkeye. They probably figure Scarlett's too old because she's a woman. Sure they gave her a movie, years after people called for it, but they used it to have her pass the torch to a much-younger replacement. You don't see Hawkeye being replaced by a much younger guy, do you?

I agree, sum1. Renner's Hawkeye is totally uninteresting and nothing at all like the Clint Barton from the comics. And why do they need every freaking character to get a movie or TV show?

Well, this is just a theory I have but could it be they did that to Johansson's Black Widow because Disney didn't want to pay the big money to keep her?
Look at Endgame almost all the big name actors was either written out by retirement, or death, and replace by arguably the not so big name actors. I mean is it wrong for me to think maybe Disney went the cheapskate route? As for every character getting a movie, and show if Disney wants it then yes. Feige already confirmed Disney wanted him to make shows for Disney+, and I'm sure they'll want him to make multiple ones from the X-Men IP. Yesterday was Chadwick Boseman's Birthday.  Quote:
