Yeah, Dark Phoenix for me too, Rita.

I'm not looking forward to this new warping of the New Mutants. I do want to see Dark Phoenix though.

I know how you feel, sum1. I don't like the whole horror movie idea either.

It shows such a lack of understanding of what the New Mutants comic was about.

Yeah, but this is Hollywood we're talking about. Most of them don't know any more about comics than what they read on Wikipedia, and even more of them don't care and have nothing but contempt for comics and comic book fans. I told you what Disney once told M. Night Shyamalan, right? We're just "those people who go to conventions," not mainstream audiences.

Disney said that to Shyamalan over a decade ago. Their positiion has changed now.

Yeah, but they had to get dragged kicking and screaming into it. It wasn't until The Dark Knight and Iron Man came out that Hollywood started taking this seriously. Iron Man wasn't even a Disney release, it was Paramount. Disney didn't buy Marvel Studios until after Iron Man became a hit. Prior to that, Hollywood execs thought that audiences didn't care about any Marvel characters other than Spider-Man.

I didn't need you to tell me that Iron Man wasn't a Disney release. I was quite aware of that already. Disney took over Marvel in 2009. Iron Man was released in 2008. Not that it was any better for that. Less sweetened up, maybe, but plenty shallow and boring. The only good Iron Man film was the second one.

Sorry, sum1. I was speaking rhetorically.
