Thanks, dragonfire. :) Let's see how long this lasts before they end up redoing X-Men yet again. I'm still laughing over their failed attempt at All-New, All-Different Marvel.

Give Thor back his arm and Mjolnir and restore She Hulk to her normal self!

Marvel Reveals X-Men Plans at Comic-Con
Quote:

As promised, the Dawn of X is upon us. From San Diego Comic-Con 2019, Marvel has revealed its new plans for the X-Men. Six new ongoing series will launch this fall following the conclusion of Jonathan Hickman's House of X and Powers of X miniseries. Those series are: X-Men, Excalibur, Marauders, New Mutants, Fallen Angels, and X-Force.

“House of X and Powers of X lay the groundwork for a whole new world of X-Men stories for years to come, and the Dawn of X books are the promise of that new world come to life,” said X-Men Senior Editor Jordan D. White. “They are the start of the new era that will change how we think of the X-Men and the kinds of stories we tell with them. It all begins here.”

These new series are said to kick off the first phase of Jonathan Hickman’s massive multi-year plan for the X-Men, redefining the characters and franchise for a new era. They are said to be perfect jumping on points for new and long-time X-Men fans.

Agreed, sum1. And get Hank Pym out of the Soul World and his body out of Ultron, and get Janet Van Dyne back into the Avengers and get rid of Nadia.

Thanks for those, dragonfire. I just hope they don't screw up X-Men.

X-MEN #1 A NEW ERA DAWNS FOR THE X-MEN! The X-Men find themselves in a whole new world of possibility… and things have never been better! Jonathan Hickman (HOUSE OF X, POWERS OF X, SECRET WARS) and superstar artist Leinil Yu (NEW AVENGERS, CAPTAIN AMERICA) reveal the saga of Cyclops and his hand-picked squad of mutant powerhouses!

Quote:

EXCALIBUR #1 A NEW DAY IS FORGED! Mutantkind has always been special…as has their relationship with the world—or WORLDS—around them. As this new era dawns, a new connection forms between mutants and the magic of the world… and that of Otherworld! Can the new Captain Britain forge a new way through the chaos with her companions Rogue, Gambit, Jubilee, Rictor…and Apocalypse?!?
Quote:

NEW MUTANTS #1 THE NEXT GENERATION CLAIMS THE FUTURE! The classic New Mutants (Sunspot, Wolfsbane, Mirage, Karma, Magik, and Cypher) get together with a few new friends (Chamber, Mondo) to seek out their missing member and share the good news… a mission that takes them into space alongside the Starjammers!
Quote:

FALLEN ANGELS #1 NOT ALL BELONG IN PARADISE! Psylocke finds herself in this new world of Mutantkind unsure of her place in it… but when a face from her past returns only to be killed, she seeks help from others who feel similar to get vengeance. Cable and X-23 join Kwannon for a personal mission that could jeopardize all Mutantkind!
Quote:

X-FORCE #1 THE COST OF THE FUTURE ISN’T CHEAP.

X-Force is the CIA of the mutant world—one half intelligence branch, one half special ops. Beast, Jean Grey and Sage on one side, Wolverine, Kid Omega and Domino on the other. In a perfect world, there would be no need for an X-Force. We’re not there… yet.

Sounds bad.

PhoenixRising 07-21-2019 01:53 PM

Sounds like they're just making yet another mess of X-Men. Seriously, Marvel knows nothing of simplicity anymore.

sum1 07-22-2019 06:59 AM

Indeed.

PhoenixRising 07-22-2019 04:34 PM

The last time Marvel messed with their titles their sales fell into the basement following the All New, All Different titles. Let's see what happens now.

His entire family? Yet they killed off Havok?

sum1 07-23-2019 05:39 PM

He's got a big family. I guess he has plenty to spare.

While the members of each new X-Men comic team were revealed one by one, Hickman and his editors joked that the new flagship X-Men series would be made up of almost every mutant Marvel fans could think of. But the cover art for X-Men #1 tells a different story. In it, artist Leinil Francis Yu depicts a collection of heroes on the Moon, with Cyclops a.k.a. Scott Summers at the center, with his wife Jean Grey by his side. The inclusion of Cable a.k.a. Nathan Summers, their son may not be completely outlandish, and neither is the presence of their alternate universe daughter, Rachel Summers.
Quote:

But when you add in Havok a.k.a. Alex Summers, Scott's brother, and Vulcan a.k.a. Gabriel Summers, their other, more powerful brother... the overall trend is clear. At which point the presence of their father, Chris Summers a.k.a. Corsair of the space pirate Starjammers seems almost obvious.
Quote:

Alex Summers has always enjoyed plenty of fans, and since Havok's death to spare Cyclops didn't technically take place in the modern time and universe, that's an easily explained twist.

Of course they didn't kill him off.
