Thank goodness it's gonna stick to the comics and stand apart from the abomination that is the MCU.

Thanks for that stuff, dragonfire. :)

Seems like on Saturday they'll announce the new X-Men comics at SDCC. :)

I wish I could care. :( Marvel has so disappointed me.

Marvel Kills Off Several X-Men Characters
Quote:

Callahan uses his Sentinels, who still have mutant identities stored in their system, to attack the X-Men. Havok is the first to fall, sacrificing himself by going all-out with his powers in order to save Cyclops. Fabien Cortez, the former acolyte of Magneto who can boost other mutants' powers, is the next to fall, crushed under a Sentinel's fist.

Warlox — a Madrox dupe infected by the same Transfmode Virus Callahan used to enhance his Sentinels — tries to communicate with the robots. He fails and is killed. Madrox prime soon follows, sacrificing himself as an army of dupes providing human shields for Wolverine’s unsuccessful attempt to close enough to Callahan to end the threat.

All seems lost and Wolverine and Cyclops share their goodbyes, but that’s when the other X-Men who have been trapped in X-Man’s alternate reality reappear. With the calvary finally arriving, the X-Men are able to win the day, but it came at a great cost. As a final act of defiance, Cyclops destroys Emma's Cerebro machine, restoring humanity's memory of mutants.

And with that this era of X-Men ends. Next up is Jonathan Hickman’s House of X and Powers of X, which begins the road to Dawn of X. More news on Dawn of X will break at this week's San Diego Comic-Con.

Oh, please, dragonfire. Does anyone really think any of those characters are dead? I remember when they killed off Wonder Man, and that didn't last. They're definitely not gonna kill off Havok. I think that Marvel is going through some kind of breakdown.

dragonfire 07-17-2019 04:36 PM

Alex I do believe you'll love this. Open the spoiler tags to see the picture. :D

Thanks for that, dragonfire. Damn!

No problem. I hope you loved it. :) Looks like Scott&Jean are finally back together, and Emma looks like she got coal for Christmas. :D

Two times Wonder Man was killed it was supposed to be permanent. It was because of copyright clashes with DC. Wonder Man stayed dead for about a decade from the '60s to the '70s and from 1994 to about 1999.

Reinvent X-Men? Whenever Marvel says stuff like that I get nervous. Didn't they learn from DC's mistakes?

Yeah, but that was bogus. Wonder Man is not a copyright infringement of Wonder Woman, and Simon Williams was always being brought back. He was in the Ultron storyline in the 70s and the Korvac storyline, then he was in the West Coast Avengers storyline in the 80s, and then they killed him off again in the 1990s only to bring him back again in the late 90s. I never buy into Marvel's BS. Stan Lee himself said that no one dies except Peter's Uncle Ben, although that also should apply to Gwen Stacy and Mar-Vell.
