He was meant to be the third Brother since the 90s. It's not like it's a retcon.

I like that they revealed Adam X as a Brother to Cyclops the same way Havok was revealed as a Brother to Cyclops.

I also like that the story has Corsair, and Cable. Family ties stories like this is one of the main reasons why I prefer the X-Men over other Marvel stuff like the Avengers.
