As for the Hugh thing. I think its better to be loved by the fans than critics .
I know tons of people who love The Greatest Showman. me included. online people are never going to be happy about anything. __________________

It helps to be respected by the critics too.

Sym Patrick. Sounds like an Irish demon. Properly speaking that would be Sym FitzPatrick.
As for the original Sym: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S%27ym __________________

Sym was Magik's demon minion in Limbo. Magik was Colossus's kid sister and Shadowcat's best friend. She was a member of the New Mutants. She was Russian, but they didn't bother to cast a Russian actress for the movie. In the comics, Magik (Illyana Rasputin) was reverted to childhood and later died of the Legacy virus that had been ceated to kill mutants by Cable's psycho clone Stryfe. This provoked Colossus to go rogue and join Magneto's mutant terrorists. Years later they brought Magik back, as tends to happen in comics.

They didn't respect it enough for Hugh to be nominated for any awards. None of the stars of the movie got nominated for any of the major awards. And for the Oscars the film got nominated only for best adapted screenplay and critics poured scorn on this by saying that it only got nominated because only 5 movies with adapted screenplays were made last year. Hugh is repeatedly scorned by critics, such as when they scorned his performance in The Greatest Showman or wondered what he was doing in Prisoners. You really should read the Hugh Jackman thread on this board. We've been discussing this for quite some while.

Still something for Logan to be nominated for best adapted screenplay.

Something, but not enough. It was one of the best films of the year. Unlike most comic book movies, it was quite profound.

It's a start. Considering the stuff the Academy usually likes.

I agree, Kip. At least it's something. Comic book movies almost never get a screenwriting nod.

It was excellent. But I never read Old Man Logan, so I don't know how close it was.
