When I see "exclusive blu-ray special features" I get so angry.

Because I don't like the attempt to force blu-ray on us.

Yeah, I can see that being annoying. Blu-ray discs can fit a lot more data than a DVD though, and so it makes sense it would include more features on it than a DVD. I suppose they could include multiple DVDs in the box to make up for lack of space on the disc, but that might be more expensive for them to make. But if you buy the blu-ray on a new release, it also includes the movie in DVD format so you get it all. I, too, get annoyed with blu-rays being pushed on us, but I have a blu-ray player anyway so at the end of the day, I can't really complain.

They deliberately keep all or many special features off the DVDs and make them blu-ray exclusive so as as to push people to buy the blu-rays. For example, Disney's MCU and Star Wars dvds no longer have any special features. It's all on the blu-ray.

Not for most films. Plus that's a lot more expensive.

It's a lot less advantageous for people outside North America to switch to blu-ray than it is for Americans, and I'm fed up of big American companies trying to make the rest of the world fit in with America on this issue.

True. That's fair, and I agree, very frustrating. Wow, they don't have ANY special features on those DVDs?

Well, perhaps it is more expensive in general for a lot of films, but not for the 'Logan' film, thankfully (helps my pocket book lol). It costs just $5 more to buy the Blu-ray/DVD combo with the special features than it does to buy the DVD. The 'Logan' DVD will also have some special features on it still (the black and white version of the film and the director's commentary), even though it won't include the deleted scenes like the Blu-Ray does.

You and me both I can't stand American capitalism, and I'm American (although my parents are not American so I grew up a little detached from American culture compared to other Americans I know). In fact, I never wanted a blu-ray player and I hate too much technological change. The only reason I have a blu-ray player is because it was a gift.

None. And some other companies are doing the same.

Ireland. We get the same dvds that are made for Britain.

I'd love to visit Ireland. It looks so beautiful! Oh gosh, that really sucks that they barely include anything on DVDs for the UK. The economics driving this pisses me off. How unfair!
