Yet that does sound kind of spiritual in way.

But personally, whenever he word "spiritual" comes up I expect some load of bull. I'm allergic to it.

Well, spiritual is being connected to something you can't see or touch, and have no proof of its existence, but that you somehow feel. Thanos' love for Death was quite palpable, as she was an actual cosmic entity that is part of Marvel's cosmic mythos, somewhat similar to H.P. Lovecraft's Outer Gods, or Great Old Ones. Reading The Thanos Quest, I always felt that his motivations were quite selfish, and Adam Warlock was the only one who could really understand and call him on it. I still think it's an absolute sin to not have Adam Warlock in Infinity War. Kevin Feige is mucking this up big time.

Thanos without Adam Warlock is like The Joker without Batman, Lex Luthor without Superman, Green Goblin without Spider-Man, Moriarty without Sherlock Holmes.

:rolleyes; If you like Thanos being reduced to a clichéd heavy, I guess.

I'm more concerned about Thanos without his headdress. He doesn't look like Thanos!

I agree. I did see Thanos without his headdress in the comics, and he's actually bald. But Thanos' eyes aren't visible in the comics, and in the movies he's got eyes.

I also don't like how they oversimplified the Infinity Gems, first calling them "stones" and then making the Tesseract the Space Gem in disguise, which makes no sense. A Tesseract is a four dimensional hyper-cube, called the Cosmic Cube in the comics. It's not a three dimensional construct, we only see it in three dimensions because we're stuck in a three dimensional world. The Tesseract is similar to the Black Monolith in 2001: A Space Odyssey, but making it a container for he Space Gem reduces it to a three dimensional construct, like a Chinese puzzle box with a soft, chewy center, which is stupid. Again, Hollywood writers with their heads up their arses.

They must be very flexible to put their heads up their arses.

They do it all the time. And up each other's arses. That, when they're not committing acts of sexual harassment or assault.

And we probably should take this conversation to the Other Marvel Characters thread. We're not gonna have much to talk about here until The Gifted comes back in September.

If that's the case, maybe the Gifted thread should be de-topped in the meanwhile.

That's probably a good idea. I don't wanna lose track of it, though. I don't want it getting buried, so let's keep an eye on it.
