Yeah, Twin Peaks was at its best back in the original first season.
It's still not too late to get into Game of Thrones. Best show ever made. __________________

I'm glad you agree, sum1.
I know, I know. I need to find time to binge watch, though, and modding three boards makes that difficult. New episode of The Gifted this Monday! I just wish it had a full season and not a half season. __________________

The worst Twin Peaks was the movie. I couldn't get through that.

Yeah,I was the one who started an inappropriate conversation about bras b/c I didn't realize guys were on this website.
I don't blame you guys for not getting into Borgia much. Some parts of it were just gross. I can ship Cesare and Lucrezia b/c it supposedly happened in history. Lucretzia and Rodrigo? There was also horrible miscasting and certain lines and roles that made no sense. I still like it,but it had major flaws. Does the board still exist? I used to go more often so Nikki K and I could chat with everyone on the OT thread. I know how this sounds, but I want them youngsters off my comic book lawn! Don't make me shake my back issues at you! My brother works for a film company and record industry. Dark Horse has comics for two of his clients and they give shout outs to other ones. The guy who created Metalacoplyse is his friend and client. I can't just stick with one thing. Also,I never rejected free comics, since I don't know that I'll hate them or not. Spider-Nan shouldn't be on a general Marvel board. There have been 3 Spider-Man and then there are all the cartoons. I think there was a tv series in the 70's. I think they have a half-season b/c it's a new show. I don't know if you guys posted it here or it was on The Gifted board, but its chances are barely renewal at the moment. Even if people like it,it's not getting enough ratings. The only comic things I viewed recently that are any good are Kingsman/men and of course, Runaways. I'll probably watch Teen Titans, though. __________________

OMG, Rodrigo and Lucrezia were in Borgia? I didn't know if that show went there or not. And Rodrigo was horribly miscast on that show. You're yelling at the youngsters too, huh? Yeah, although there are a lot more younger people who know about the comics than you might think, but they're mostly on YouTube and other websites. I don't often find a lot of comic book experts on Fan Forum, even on the boards dedicated to comic book based movies and TV shows. Ohh, that's lucky for your brother then. I used to like Dark Horse back in the 80's and 90's when they did all the Aliens, Predator, and Terminator comics. I wasn't much of a fan of their Star Wars comics, though. I preferred Marvel's version. Well, I don't know how many threads you could have for a Spider-Man board. Yes, there was a 70's TV series with Nicholas Hammond, and there have been six movies so far and countless cartoons, but there aren't enough comic book fans on FF to justify an entire Spider-Man board. Besides, he's already got threads on several boards, not just the Avengers board. I actually posted a link about The Gifted's renewal chances on this thread a few posts ago. I still think the show deserves a second season, although we'll just have to wait and see. The ratings are good enough for at least a renewal, and second-viewing ratings on On Demand and other forms of viewing are much better. I still haven't seen Runaways, and I think Teen Titans is just gonna be called 'Titans' now. Quote:

With Nina,it can be confusing-her AIM was a completely different name and her email was also a completely different name. We didn't get to talk before AIM was discontinued. Well,Rodrigo and Lucrezia didn't happen,he just fantasized about it. He went on a pilgrimage and Lucrezia was like,"Oh, I know you want to me." There are a lot of young people who do,but they're on SuperheroHype and places like that. I'm been a loyal poster here since my teens, but people here tend to care more about ships and character politics than overall plot, the series,etc... I like their tv comics, like Smallville,Buffy and Game of Thrones. I think there may be another tv show,I don't know. I like some of the other stuff like Elfquest,Archie Vs. Predator and a series called Velvet. __________________

That's okay, Adi. You weren't the first person to assume I was a girl and not a guy. That's happened to me a lot. I think a lot of FF posters just assume everyone here is a girl because, like you said, it's mostly about shipping and character politics. I do shipping myself, just so you know.
Yeah, Nina is difficult to pin down. She just recently moved to the USA and is living in New York now because that's where her job moved her. OMG, really? That happened on Borgia? Funny how they didn't have Cesare and Lucrezia commit incest on that show but they had that other stuff. Yeah, I've been to SuperheroHype and those other comics boards. I'm glad there are some people on the internet who know their stuff, at least. But FF is mostly for fans of movies and TV. The Comics and Cartoons board does have people who know the comics, though. Archie vs. Predator? Damn. And I never really got into Dark Horse that much. Only four more days until the next episode of The Gifted! __________________

Again? I know she hated it when she was in Ithaca,so I'm surprised she went back. Then again, she could have moved to the city.
I started posting on the comics board about Archie, but it's really dumb that two different sites are so dramatically different. I'm not trying to be a ,but even if I do ship stuff, I feel like some people here can be really girly, ignorant and dumb. It's like they have a bubble and bursting it makes them cry like baby Jesus(Or Nancy Kerrigan). This board is better than a lot of the others, which is why I came back. Some of them make me feel like a cranky old lady that has to pull out her shotgun. I kind of have a wish list for who should be on the show and Emma Frost is in my top 10. Technically she's Esme's mother and she was only in First Class briefly. It was enough to establish the Hellfire Club, which was great. The Hellfire Club has already even mentioned on the show and it would be neat if the terrorist attack had something to do with them. Emma isn't like Alex, who's connected to key characters. Even if Emma is dead, flashbacks would be great. I don't know that all the X-Men are dead, they've just disappeared. __________________

Yes, Nina's back in New York. I think she mentioned being in the USA before, but I didn't know it was in Ithaca. But she's living in New York City now.
Ouch! Pretty harsh on Nancy Kerrigan. But I know what you mean. I think FF was originally made more for film and television pop culture than anything else, but it has expanded a bit since then. I'm glad you decided to come back to this board, Adi. I try to make it as hospitable as possible. Well, sum1 doesn't like Emma Frost that much. But it would be nice to see her get a better adaptation than what she got in First Class. I don't think that The Gifted exists in the same continuity as the movies, so there's no reason why Emma or Alex can't still be alive in The Gifted's timeline. They did mention the Hellfire Club on The Gifted, although it was past tense. But it really doesn't make sense to not let the show use the characters since the movies are pretty much finished with them. Like you said, the X-Men just disappeared, so we don't know what happened to everyone. __________________

So did anyone see The Gifted last night? They mentioned Polaris' father and Esme(I think it was her) told her that he was a member of the Hellfire Club, and one of its kings! That's the first mention of Magneto on the show, and he was supposedly with the Hellfire Club? That's a total deviation from the movie continuity where he had nothing to do with that organization. So if what Esme was saying is correct, the show might very well be in a totally different continuity.

Magneto was a Hellfire Club king in the New Mutants comic in the '80s.

DAMNIT! I didn't realize it came back. I'll have to post my thoughts after I watch.
This board was overrun by movie fans. Some liked Evo and the cartoons, but if you talked about Alex and Scott or anything like that, they kept saying you were OT. How? They're brothers and both exist in the movies. I'm glad that two comic fans finally run the board. I got fed up with being scolded and told to focus on the movies. This isn't the X-Men movies board, it's the X-Men board. It's kind of happening on the Gifted board. Do we have a Polaris thread? ETA: Wow. I really, really want to slap those dumb s. I'm excited about The Hellfire Club happening after all,but I just seriously want to hit the Cuckoos. Emma should be on the show if they're going by Frost. We'll never see Magneto, but Emma should show up and so should Sebastien Shaw. I'm wondering who that dude was, though. I rematched DOFP and Sunspot was in that, too. He seemed more like Marcos in it. I'll give Turner credit-He tried to to the legal, merciful thing. Esme is the one who ignited things and made them go to extremes. I feel bad for John, but a lot ore sympathy for Lauren. __________________

We don't have a Polaris thead yet.
I know what it's like to be told to focus on the movies, not the comics. Yeah, Sunspot was in Days of Future Past, played by one of the guys from Designated Survivor. I think the actor was in The Following too. __________________

Love how much all three Cuckoos actually share screen time, speak in unison, and constantly finish each others sentences. Must be tricky to film but it's worth it. Their hive mind is so interesting and I enjoy their creepy synchronization. Pretty much everything I wanted when I heard they were coming to the show.
The juxtaposition between Ed and Sonya's funerals was great. Shows how pointless and stupid the conflict is, both sides are just people. I think the showrunner Matt Nix said at Comic Con that the show takes place in it's own continuity, separate from the movies. __________________
