Gambit Unappreciation thread #1

Our board's very first anti thread! This is the place to bash the wanker with the cards, the guy who's most definitely not worthy of Rogue. As if the character in the comics isn't annoying enough, we've had one dreadful performance by Taylor Kitsch and we're likely to have another by Channing Tatum.

Take that you third-rate pickpocket! :kicks Gambit in the balls:

Added later:

Gambit is a slimy wanker who was involved in Mister Sinister's massacre of the mutant Morlocks and wormed his way into Rogue's affections, only to let her down. He's annoying, he's smug, he's creepy. He thinks he's God's gift to women. He's probably left a long list of Me-Too cases behind him.

Thanks for the new thread, sum1. I added a number 1 to the title to keep them numbered. Do you want a special title added?

On some boards there's been a practice of not putting titles on unappreciation threads, to avoid antagonizing people. I'm following that practice here.

Now grab something and hit Gambit!

:makes Gambit eat his exploding cards:

Okay, sum1. That sounds reasonable. I'll still keep the number in the title so we can keep track of the threads.

Can't Gambit just charge anything you hit him with?

How about Gambit gets annihilated by Deadpool at the end of Deadpool 2?

As long as I can bring him back alive again after so I can kill him off again. It's what I do on unappreciation threads. You don't know how many times I've squashed Boba Fett under his ship Slave1 or killed off Anakin by dropping a Death Star on him. Back on the old anti-Angel thread on Buffy board in the good old days we used to stick Angel in a room with a big window and the sun shining in and shut the door and come back later and sweep up the ashes.

Come think of it... :turns Gambit into a vampire, shoves him into the sunlight, cleans up the ashes:

On the Gambit/Rogue relationship, Rogue is fairly tough, but she's vulnerable and inexperienced and I've long felt their relationship was a case of worldly ladies man Gambit, with all his practiced charm, taking advantage of Rogue. I always preferred the Magneto/Rogue ship. Magneto isn't some sort of ladies man and he's pretty sincere. He's also one of my favorite characters in the comics, as is Rogue. The best versions of that ship were the Age of Apocalypse version, where Magneto and Rogue were married, had a kid and led the X-Men, and also the Rogue/Joseph ship. Joseph was a younger clone of Magneto who seemed to be the real Magneto (made younger) for years.

I like Gambit...but he's somewhat too real life for me... real people can do a lot of things with playing cards including use them as weapons....I'm seen a few acts on Americas got Talents with that
