If Channing is staying on for more X-Men movies, he better gives the character justice and I need Gambit to meet Rogue already.

The past X-Men movies can't have Rogue because she's younger so the only way for them to meet is to have Gambit in a present X-Men film.

Just not sure when or how we have to wait until they return to "present/future" movies unless more time traveling

True. And in Apocalypse we don't get the present cast yet, nor will we get them on the Wolverine 2017 movie too.

Yeah and if they do plan on doing a movie with the present cast soon, they would have to re-introduce Gambit even if he is in the past SL.
