In all honesty, Zazie Beetz wasn't bad in the role. She just didn't feel like Domino to me. I wished they would have just made a new character for her.

Exactly how I feel. They even had to reverse the makeup for her, which was kind of awkward.

She wasn't the Domino I knew, but I liked her. I think she was the best part of the film for me.

I would've preferred more faithful casting, though. I always thought Domino was Asian when I saw her in the comics.

I always thought she was white in the comics, but Rob Liefeld has said that there wasn't any race specified for Domino. I guess she could have been played by an actress of any ethnicity. I just really wanted the classic Domino look in live-action, but I guess it'll never happen. Oh well. If anything, the movie version of Domino was miles above Firefist in terms of performance and personality, and she was nowhere near annoying or unlikable as that irritating brat. I'd much rather see her character again in future movies over him. If they bring him back, hopefully he gets demoted in screentime. Sorry, but I hated his character so much.

Domino was drawn in the comics as white.

Firefist was annoying. You really know a franchise is going downhill when they stick in a kid.

Firefist was a wanker. Didn't feel any connection between him and Deadpool, unlike Logan/Wolverine and Laura/X-23. I'm usually not a fan of kids in movies, but she was an exception. Unfortunately, I have doubts that we'll see her again.
