Yep, with the exception of having two blades on each hand instead of three, and having an attraction to Cyclops, Laura's fitting into the Wolverine role nicely.

Nobody fits the Wolverine role nicely other than Wolverine, Logan. I'm not down with this trend of retiring older characters and replacing them with new versions. And Old Man Logan isn't good enough. I say to Marvel, give us the real Wolverine back!

How about, "Because he needs to get the damn palm trigger for his visor already?"

Seriously, in the comics, Cyclops hasn't had to physically touch his visor to fire his optic blast since the 1970's. The palm trigger in his glove that opens his visor functions much the same way as the ones in Peter Parker's web-shooters.

You're the mod of the X-Men board and you didn't know about that? Look at any X-Men comic published since the 1970's and tell me how many times you see Cyclops touching his visor to open it? Answer: NEVER! It's just stupid Hollywood mucking things up again.
