Yeah, I know.
 That sucks, LightYears. That's why I loved that Jennifer was mostly unknown when she was cast as Mystique and then became famous after The Hunger Games.  But I guess they thought they needed someone well known as Cable.__________________

True, but back then in 2000 they didn't even know what they had. I agree that they don't need well known stars, but these days the studios are more hesitant to take chances.

If everything goes well with the Disney&Fox deal, Cable's parents could be MCU Scott&Jean. Plus they could reboot/recast Cable.

They're definitely not going to recast Cable or any of the characters in the current Deadpool/X-Force franchise. Bob Iger has specifically stated that they want more Deadpool sequels. I definitely expect them to recast Cyclops and reboot the main X-Men series though. Dark Phoenix will likely be the last time we'll see those characters.
