Besides X-Men, what are you currently watching, etc? #26

Welcome to my world, Rita.

And I've never watched GoT so I have no idea what the hell you guys are talking about.

NFL Network

That was great. The whole scene was brilliant.
No, nothing of the sort was stated, only that the the dragon was last seen heading east.

I truly hope we never see her again. Murdering monster. She was just the sort of deluded fanatic that does the most harm, from Hitler to Mao, Hugo Chavez, Jeremy Corbyn, Elizabeth Warren.

It's every excuse. Bran doesn't function like a normal person. And it was clearly stated that he didn't want the crown. He just knew it was doomed to be his destiny.

He couldn't have pardoned Jon and kept the peace. They barely got Grey Worm to accept Jon not being killed.

There's no point in scapegoating Bran for your grievances with the ending.

Jon looked just as he always does and he seemed happy enough leading the Wildlings north at the end. Whether he ends up with them or with the Night's Watch is not clear, but he's been firmly tied to that area since the start of the show. The Night's Watch was his own choice in season 1. He's come full circle.

I can't rewatch the episode at the moment, but I remember they started to say where the dragon was going, maybe didn't finish the word. Please check. It's the council scene with Tyrion at the end.
Ah, yeah that's another thing. Bran doesn't seem to be doing anything as the king, he just is. Barely speaks, lets everyone else handle the kingdoms. Besides, shouldn't he see where the dragon is already? Why does he have to ask.

In your opinion, why didn't Drogon kill Jon?

We saw very little of him as king and he's just beginning.

To make his advisors feel useful?

Because Jon had bonded with it too. It had accepted Jon, By destroying the Iron Throne it showed considerable intelligence, but we don't know how much it actually understands.

I think Jon is going to the north because he has nothing left in the world. It may be his destiny, but there's no way he can ever be happy after what he's been through.

The show has always been about power and how it corrupts. In my understanding, that is what got to Bran as well. He might not be a monster on the outside, yet, but having his powers certainly changed him into an arsehole. Call that not human or whatever you like, either way, he is no goodie! That is kind of the whole point at the end, nothing really changes.

He's too distant from human concerns to be corrupted. I don't see that he's been changed into a arsehole at all. I think he was appointed precisely because he wasn't going to be corrupted. After all, as it was pointed out, he doesn't want the crown. He knows it's his destiny, but he isn't interested in power.

And the show always been about a lot more than power and how it corrupts.

As for Jon, I think the ending implies he's found a certain peace.

Not as good as Tarantino's other films?

Not as good as his better ones, despite good work by Brad Pitt and some ok work by DiCaprio. The Hateful Eight was his best film.
