MARVEL [Cartoons|Comics] #6: Come discuss your favorites within the cartoon and comics verse.

Seriously, anyone have any ideas for the OP?

Not right now. I didn't even notice how far along that other thread was in posts. Thanks for starting this 1 though.

To keep from going off-topic on Bobby's thread I was wondering if maybe we could continue the X-Men: Evolution discussion here?

Good idea, dragonfire. And as I said on the other thread, it's kind of like X-Men: 90210.

As I said in Bobby's thread Toad, Blob, Quicksilver, and Avalanche (who was like the misunderstood bad boy, field leader of the Brotherhood, a rivalry with Scott, romance with Kitty, and seems they were endgame.) went to the HS too, and for S1 the principal was Mystique. Oh, I forgot to mention while Jean was with Duncan, at some point in S2 Scott got with Jean's supposedly HS best friend which caused Jean to be jealous, and in the Christmas episode she was jealous of Rogue as well.

I agree, sum1.

OMG, they did all that, dragonfire? So after all that drama, when did Scott and Jean get together?

Oh, and I think I was confusing X-Men: Evolution with Wolverine and the X-Men, earlier. That was another cartoon.

They finally got together in S3, but at the end of the series, it showed that in the future Jean would, of course, become the Phoenix, and as for Scott? Well, if you asked me after reading this it sounds like Scott&Rogue might have been endgame.
Quote:
We played the relationship card with Scott and Rogue, she makes a play for him, and why not? If anyone has an idea of what shes going through, it would be Scott. He lives in fear of losing control of his powers and killing someone; so does she. He had a lousy childhood; so does she. He always feels isolated because of his powers and of his responsibility; so does she. And hes the one who reached out to her and brought her into an environment of warmth, family and friends. Why wouldnt she make a play for him? She reads Jean's actions toward Scott as mean. Jean is a player, the cheerleader who has everything, and cant make up her mind at what she wants. Scott is an item to her, just like Duncan, and who knows whom else. Rogue thinks Jean is a dumb ass and cannot recognize a good thing when she sees it, so yeah, shes going to make a play on the guy. (Oh, as a minor side note; on the final episode, during the peek into the future, check out who is not included in the group shot and check out whom Rogue lands next to.)

Yeah, that does sound like the X-Men as every 80s teen comedy ever made. I'm just glad that show never got to have an endgame. Scott and Rogue would be just wrong.

Could be wrong but wouldn't what was shown in the future at the end of the series be the endgame?
