We'll forgive you for that, then.

That's such a great movie, no matter what people say.

Rewatching the 2008 Ed Norton Incredible Hulk movie. It's pretty awful. Norton isn't sympathetic, Liv Tyler is wasted on bad material, Tim Roth is good but too creepy to be enjoyable, only William Hurt shines (as General Thunderbolt Ross). And there's a reeeeeally sexy Brazilian actress who pops up briefly in two scenes. I'd much rather watch her than Ed Norton. The CGI is awful. Not only does the Hulk not look real, but he's hideous as well. They changed the Abomination's appearance and not in a good way. Dumb big action scenes, dumb storyline, awful colour palette. The film is a real pain. On the positive side, it isn't as lightweight as the related MCU films that were to follow and it's a bit more mature. But that doesn't help much, because it's dull as dishwater. Really dull dishwater.

Yeah, most of what you said is correct, sum1. But I still liked it better than the Ang Lee version.

I greatly prefer the Ang Lee version, even if it was underwhelming. For one thing, it had a much better cast.

Westworld

I liked the cast in the Ang Lee version as well. But I didn't like the story. I thought it was plodding and uninteresting, and making Bruce's dad the Absorbing Man didn't make sense. Also, Eric Bana just looks way too buff for puny Bruce Banner.

You've said that before about Eric Bana, but it's just not true. From way back, Banner was often portrayed in comics as muscular. He's "puny" compared to the Hulk, not compared to other people. It's the Hulk who calls him "puny." The story in Ang Lee's version wasn't great, but it was better than the silly, overdone action in the later film.

Really? I remember Bruce being kind of on the slim side, not that muscular. I guess it depends on who's drawing him.

You're remembering the '80s and '90s version. If you look at him in the '70s he's muscular.

Ah, I see. I wasn't really reading Hulk back then. I only read the comics my mom bought. Spider-Man, The Fantastic Four, The Avengers, Conan the Barbarian, etc.

The '70s Hulk is my favorite version. I hate the '90s version, who's basically Peter David's smug bully boy.
