Why do I love the X-Men Board? The reason to why I love the X-Men board is because we have amazing posters that care about the franchise.
We have a variety of threads that are all active and discussions that are thought provoking.
We are a warm community that embraces those that are posting with us currently and those to come.

Why do I love the X-Men Franchise?
The reason I love the X-Men is because we've got amazing actors that have brought to life an amazing Marvel comic series.
X-Men has been around for a very long time including Comics/Cartoons and 7 movies with more to come.
The stories that have been told associated to X-Men are exciting and intense where it allows us to escape into our imaginations.
These stories allow us to believe in something greater
and to think like a kid who wishes that they had superpowers.

I am so proud of our board! We’ve worked really hard to get this board up and going, and to make it a success, and every one of us have different experiences of the movies, comics, cartoons that we’ve brought to the board.
I love our group here – its such a friendly, lovely bunch of people and we’re gaining new members every day so to us all,congratulations, the success of the board is down to our contributions.
X-men to me has a special place in my heart. Since I was a kid I wanted to be a mutant because of my love for the cartoons!
I am so pleased that as an adult, I still love the franchise and have a place to discuss it to my hearts content.
So to us, our board, and to X-men, here’s to many more great milestones that
I cannot wait to celebrate, along with you all. Let’s watch our board EVOLVE into something amazing!

Time to celebrate!

I am a huge fan of the X-Men movies and also enjoy the cartoons, so when I saw that X-Men had a new board on FF, I was ecstatic.
I intend to be a long term poster here because I can't get enough of it. Where do I even begin? I think what first drew me towards the X-Men movie verse was its amazing cast. Both the old cast and the new cast are so tight and they all seem like family.
It is also so precious to see how Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellan, and Hugh Jackman serve as mentors for the younger cast.

Gosh, now on to what I love about the story and characters. I just relate to X-Men. As a female minority (Hispanic/Latino), I have been discriminated against before.
I have family and friends who have been racially profiled and treated wrongly. From my understanding of the comics, X-Men was based on the 1960s civil rights movement. Professor X represents Martin Luther King Jr. and Magneto represents Malcom X.
The mutants are discriminated against by the non-mutant humans. It is not about good versus evil like most other comic book stories.
There is a lot of gray area with X-Men, but ultimately it is about fighting for basic human rights and how best to achieve peace, and that is a concept I can relate to and get behind 100 percent.

Also, the characters are such tortured souls who happen to have a genetic mutation that gives them powers, but the powers sometimes are more of a curse than a blessing and that makes for very 3-dimensional personalities.
For example, all Rogue wants to do is to be able to touch and have a loving relationship with someone, but she can't. Wolverine has wanted to die so many times .... he has suffered from severe PTSD at times, but he is stuck living forever and seeing everyone he loves die because he is practically indestructible/immortal.

My favorite characters are Logan/Wolverine, Marie/Rogue, Jean Grey/Phoenix, Ororo/Storm, Kurt/Nightcrawler, and Remy/Gambit.
I am a complete multi-shipper when it comes to this universe. I ship Logan/Rogue, Logan/Jean, and Logan/Storm.
I also like Bobby/Kitty and Erik/Raven.

Finally I have a place to talk about these characters and couples and all of the cast of X-Men with fans who also adore them.
The posters here have been amazing and have made me feel very welcome.
The board thus far has been a very positive experience and I love everyone on the board. And now I also have a small place to talk about one of my inspirations and favorite celebrities, Hugh Jackman.
So I am so happy to be here and so excited that we hit 10K posts!
