Went to Yellowstone for 3 weeks. Gone for 4 though because of the time it takes to travel.

This season marked my 5th to that National Park. It was incredible.

Ron, so glad you got to go to Yellowstone National Park now for 5 years!!!

Our family lived not too far from Yosemity National Park and we rented a cabin with another family or two(large cabins) over Memorial weekend. For about 6 years in a row. Was a wonderful time and the recreation center with pool table and ping pong table and a juke box was a big hit!!!

Ron, Did you camp outdoors under the stars all 3 weeks???

Oh man I've always wanted to visit Yosemite. I've heard it's beautiful.

We actually stayed in a 26'' trailer that's kind of half trailer, half pop up.

Hi

Wow, that sounds awesome

It depends on what you're interested in, how much money you want to spend and how long you're staying.

For Austria, I would recommend Vienna- it's the biggest city and has a beautiful inner city with lots of cultural attractions. You have to go to Schloss Schönbrunn Startseite - Schloß Schönbrunn | Wien | Österreich
You get a good insight on how the Empress Sisi and the Habsburgs lived. And the gardens are also very nice.
Here's a website where you can get a good overview: Sights - VIENNA – NOW OR NEVER

Another city that would be worth visiting is Salzburg which is famous for Mozart, Sound of Music, etc.

For Italy, I would say Venice (I would only go there for a day trip cause everything is quite expensive there and there isn't that much to see...
Oh, if you don't like crowded places, you might not want to go to Venice cause there are loads of tourists in the summer holidays.
Pisa and Rome are the cities I'd recommend. Well, mostly Rome cause there's more to see...

When you go to France, you definitely should stop by in Paris- it's a beautiful city (especially at night ) with the Eiffel tower, the Notre Dame (cathedral), Le Louvre (museum), Montmartre (artistic district, Sacré Coeur on top of a hill)- you also have a great view from up there.
If you want to go to the coast: Nice is surely nice

For Spain, Barcelona and maybe Madrid but mainly Barcelona

I've never been to Greece but Athens (as the founding place of the Olympics; the Acropolis) shouldn't be left out. Greece also has numerous pretty islands.

If you want to have a cheap accomadation and also want to get to know people, their culture, have someone who knows more about the place you're visiting and who might show you around, then CouchSurfing is a good option

Hostels are probably the cheapest alternative where you can also meet people who are also travelling like you.

I hope I was of any help

btw, are you travelling by train? Cause a lot of my friends have been on 'interrail' around Europe and they all enjoyed it It's cheaper than buying regular train tickets

2013 will be an entire adventure for me. I'm from the Netherlands, by the way, but I am moving to England to work as an au pair in a couple of days. I hope to see lots of beautiful things in Great Britain! Any suggestions?

I put down Japan, China, and South Africa, so prayers for one of those places. I have to see if I'm invited to the next part of the missionary work steps.

Thanks, me too. I'm just all about prayers so keep me in them! It's so important to me that I might be able to have this chance in doing it.
