How some people don't think it matters if they leave dogs in hot cars.

that people don't seem to retain t he information that cars get hot quickly, especially here. I don't get how it happens here.

Thank goodness it's legal for us regular citizens to break windows to get kids and animals out

America using a month/day/year system when writing out dates.

Like how does it make sense..? It should be shortest to longest like everybody else does. And aside from not getting the logic, it can be confusing. I had to work with dates once, and it was unclear which way it was written.

for the same reasons we don't use celsius or the metric system

Why people buy houses on sinkhole repaired property ( which is always disclosed before the sale and then act surprised when your house gets sucked underground.

Ok, so I know this one isn't exactly THAT important, but it means a lot to me with all the work I do here when regarding OPs to my boards: Photobucket forcing me to upgrade my free account to pay just so I can upload images here. That's all I've ever used it for and there's no way I'm going to pay for it. So I had to go through thousands of images and re-download anything that I never actually kept on my laptop, so I can then re-upload them onto a free and simple image sharing site so I can re-link everything with my OPs and survivors in particular. I've been using Photobucket for 12 years. Yep. 12 years. So needless to say I have a lot of stuff on there. But I did just sort through hundreds of images I don't need anymore and deleted them. Meaning I now have a nice 31% storage left of my 2GB allowance, which is all I need.

This is taking up my whole morning and all the OPs and Survivors in which I've used to host my images are currently replaced by ugly photobucket announcements. I've seen OPs elsewhere with this same problem. Is anyone else who uses photobucket to use their images here as incensed as I am right now? I need someone to vent with!

^ Oh, I don't think you're the only one having issues with that one.

But, on the metric system, I believe Wanda Sykes may have a point, though with very colourful language:

Ha.
Our country used to use imperial, but metric was all I was ever taught. (we had inches on the other side of the ruler, but just used mm & cm) It would be a big change, but it can be done. If kids are taught it from the get go, then it gets much easier.

My mother's of the generation where they switched from the old imperial system over to metric. If she can do it, I think anyone could.

The end result is a bit of a hodge-podge, to be frank. Like, pool temperatures are usually given in Fahrenheits, even if we would completely understand a Celsius. If you ask me how tall I am, my reflex would be to tell you in feet and inches, but I also know the number in meters and centimeters.
