It is a claim by some that the Dogon tribe in Mali, West Africa was able to detect the occultation or eclipsing of Sirius B at small degenerate star orbiting Sirius A a bright blue star thousands of years before scientists discovered the smaller companion to the blue giant. It was believed that the Dogon people have had contact with beings that came from the system and have introduced to them the Nommo that is part of the folklore of the culture.

Very interesting. There is many cases of beings having made contact with ancient civilizations.

It sure does considering that ancient pasts are not recorded more than a few thousand years in the roughly 200,000 years of civilization of Homo Sapiens Sapiens (Modern Humans)!
