It’s a heat wave here tomorrow so I’m glad my pool is set up now so I can go cool off in it. My AC in my apartment isn’t very strong either.

When the A/C isn't quite up to the task, it's a question of humidity and not because of the heat. At least, in my case that's what it is.

I met a friend for lunch yesterday, and we decided to go on the patio.. big mistake
 This place didn't have sufficient coverage so I was baking for 2.5 hours. We tried to move when the shade moved, but it wasn't enough - my friend got a weirdly shaped sunburn on her leg Today is nicer (cooler), but very humid. It's gonna rain later! I invite it. __________________

I try to avoid patios because people are allowed to smoke on those, which... I'm allergic.

I guess we're lucky here. No smoking anywhere on the property. I guess that extends to patio, even if it's outside. I wouldn't be able to tolerate either. Smoking really aggravates my throat/lungs. Blegh.

It does make me feel like a grump, though. Most people want to be outside when it's the summer, but I can't do that at restaurants.
