Who are the quirkyalones? There are many definitions, but we'll start with this one. Quirkyalones are romantics who resist the tyranny of coupledom. Whether by birth (womb quirkyalones) or through life experience (born-again quirkyalones), we are independent-thinking people who would prefer to be open to finding that magical click (and the myriad possibilities that life has to offer) rather than exist in a stifling or unsatisfying romantic relationship. I just found this awhile ago. I realize I rarely date, and I'm not a relationship person. Anyways I thought I'd start a thread for people who are single and like it. And aren't really "looking" for someone.

So share your story. Your family thinks you're gay. Everyone thinks you should get married. Why don't you have a boyfriend/girlfriend? Etc.

I hope I'm not the only one.

Yep, I'm a single pringle.
I guess I've always been alone since my divorce, and I have that barrier up, people seem to question me about it. I have been on dates, but yet I push them away eventually when they try and get close, because of the crap I dealt with in my marriage.
So, I kinda figured that I'm a lonely spinster now, and it's better to be that way than to be treated like you're a piece of crap on the floor.

I think most of us are pushed into finding Mr/Mrs right, they just don't understand that it will happen naturally.
Teenagers shouldn't feel pressured about it.

My problem is falling for the wrong guys. I fall for the guys that I have no future with and the guys that do flirt and do like me I push away because I am not ready to invest myself in someone who's "second best". I'm a shy girl, but I do like to flirt and tease, but I feel like that's all it is, really.

I used to have two serious relationships and some fun thing since I tend to have a bad habit that I sometimes may self-destruct it, but I like to be single which I don't know why people act like I need a guy..
