Juwanna Mann was a movie that Miguel starred in. There's a whole page dedicated to it at his official site if you want to find out more . I havn't actually watched it either but it sounds hilarious so I've made a note to myself to rent it if I see it. Btw, have you checked out the general thread yet? I've got links to all the other Tarzan threads and stuff there so it would be a good one to add to your "tracked topics" for easy reference if you wanted to.

Thanks. Actually, I already have all the Tarzan topics tracked. Unfortunately, I just haven't had much to say

Here it is guys .
From FilmStew.com Wednesday, January 7, 2004 Tarzan Trounced Despite a recent effort by fans of The WB's Tarzan to rescue the program from its abrupt hiatus, the network now confirms the series has been cancelled. By Richard Horgan A day after a half-page ad paid for by a coalition of fans trying to bring back The WB’s fall 2003 offering Tarzan appeared in The Hollywood Reporter, their mission to rescue the latest incarnation of Edward Rice Burroughs’ celebrated hero just got a lot tougher. “The show has been cancelled,” confirms Paul McGuire, Senior Vice President of Network Communications for The WB. “This is the first time we’re officially announcing this. It’s always great to see people getting passionate about one of your shows, but despite the considerable amount of money and effort we put into marketing Tarzan, it really didn’t ignite a mass audience the way a show must in today’s multi-cluttered TV universe. Yes, we saw the ad in yesterday’s Hollywood Reporter and again, it’s always great to hear from an appreciative audience.” Tuesday’s black and white trade ad, which appeared on page 87 of the Reporter in the heart of its extensive weekly listings of current film and TV productions, cost fifty of Tarzan’s most ardent fans a combined $1,279.00, slightly discounted for the cause from the publication’s normal rate of $1,500.00. Unfortunately, the ad looks more like a promotion for the show itself rather than a plea from a group of 2,115 fans scattered across the United States, Brazil, Australia and several other countries. Even the ad’s listing of their message board web site URL, www.tarzantheseries.com does little to reflect the nature of their efforts. “I own a copy of every single Edward Rice Burroughs book and must have read them at least 20 times each,” confesses 47-year-old Escambia County, Florida municipal employee Jean Kassab, a mother of two who fronted for the ad on her credit card. “I’m probably the most skeptical Tarzan fan there is. But when I turned on the TV show, I was impressed. Not just because former Calvin Klein model Travis Fimmel looks the part, but also from the way he articulates Tarzan’s limited vocabulary and does his own stunts.” “Our biggest bones of contention are that The WB canceled the show so quickly and that while they spent a lot of money advertising the show before its premiere, it seemed like they barely promoted it during the week once it was on,” Kassab continues. “We’ve literally pelted The WB with hundreds of stuffed animals with messages attached, floral arrangements and baskets of bananas and nuts. Although we are very careful to try not to appear as though we are trying to stalk anybody, we did manage to also have something delivered directly to Fimmel’s mother at her place of employment.” From the feedback she has received, Kassab says Tarzan appealed immediately to female viewers ages 22 through 70, some of whom have joined her in compiling an album of fan letters and other mementoes to send to Fimmel. Sadly, in light of today’s cancellation news, their political manifesto may now be perceived as little more than a nostalgic keepsake. * * * * * * * * * * * * * So we FINALLY have an answer. An answer that, let's face it, we pretty much have been expecting all along. The WB has officially cancelled Tarzan. It sucks, it's sad, but now "Team Tarzan" can move on to the next stage of the campaign. Yes, you read right. For those that still have the energy, the campiagn for the show is not over. Now that The WB has finally let it go the focus turns to getting them to sell it to another network and, of course, getting other networks interested in picking it up. In other news, the campaign website has a new address and webmistress. And nope, it's not me . That fell through but it's instead in the more-than-capable hands of Deb, webmistress of Miguel's official site . Okay here again is the contact info you'll need .
The WB Television Network 4000 Warner Blvd., Bldg. 34R Burbank, CA 91522 Addressed to either: Jordan Levin, Co-CEO or John Litvack, EVP, Current Programming and Primetime Scheduling. And remember, when contacting them via mail, ONLY SEND POSTCARDS. Unless going through Save That Show.com which sends a letter for you. Phone: Viewer Comment Line - 818-977-6878 Main WB office number - 818-977-5000 Fax: 818-977-6771 E-mail: faces@thewb.com, Jordan.Levin@warnerbros.com Send The WB's Tarzan E-cards back to them! Tarzanoholic from tarzantheseries.com came up with a great new slogan for this next level of the campaign, "LET TARZAN OUT OF THE WB JUNGLE and onto another network!!!! Sell Tarzan - let it run wild OUTSIDE your network!" And, for the potentional buyers? UPN is really our best bet and several reports have claimed they are in fact interested in picking up the show. United Paramount Network 11800 Wilshire Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90025 Addressed to either: Dawn Ostroff - President, UPN Entertainment, Laurie Zaks - SVP, Current Programs, or Maggie Murphy - SVP, Drama Development Phone: 310-575-7000 Fax: 310-575-7220 E-mail: feedback@upn.com And, (also again), the contact info for some cable stations... WE: Women's Entertainment - give feedback and email them at contactwe@rmhi.com SCI FI CHANNEL - give feedback and email them at program@www.scifi.com Space Channel - email them at space@spacecast.com FX Channel - email them at user@fxnetworks.com For the cable stations here, our goal is not necessarily to get them to "pick up the show" but to air repeats. We want them to add the eight episode season to their schedule so even more people can become aware of it and therefore give The WB and UPN even more reasons to sell it and pick it up respectively. And as always, for the latest news, check out the campaign website, Wild Innocence, tarzantheseries.com and sign up for the "Team Tarzan" yahoo group. Well, it looks like my post card to UPN was well timed. It went out earlier this week. It was short and to the point. If anyone would like to read what I wrote, I would be glad to post it.
Can anyone recommend a good picture of Travis I could use to draw him? My tapes of Tarzan are a bit fuzzy, so I have trouble finding a clear image. I'd prefer it be from Tarzan, or at least up to date. So many of the pictures of him out there are over a year old, and he looks older now, and not so airbrushed. When I get the drawing bug, I can't lose it until I have successfully drawn a picture the I can look at and say -that's him!! I'm close, I just need the right source picture. __________________

I really thought they were going to change their minds
Anyway, how possible do you think it is that another channel (UPN) would buy the show, that is if the WB is even willing to sell it??? What about this pic? __________________

That picture's nice, but a little too "broody". That's the problem, either he's brooding, or giving a big toothy grin, and I can't draw teeth to save my life. Thanks for trying.

Hey guys , it's been awhile since I posted I know and I really am sorry about that. Unfortunately what I'm about to say will likely make you wish I had stayed away even longer .
UPN will NOT pick up the show. Quote:
You though are all free to do what you wish of course. I personally won't be posting any "updates" on this thread anymore but it will remain open and be left up to you to keep it from falling into cyber oblivion . In case this isn't obvious, there is still a small group of people exploring other ways to try and get the show back and if you arn't already a part of that but want to be then now would be a good time to sign up for the yahoo list and check out the tarzantheseries forums. Anyway, I certainly hope to still see you on the main thread! [ 01-22-2004: Message edited ~*Ambrosia*~ ] __________________
