i enjoy the intimate side but what im trying to overcome is my fear of getting too intimate and being scared to go all the way in case he hurts me. I trust him, i feel comfortable and he has said he'll wait til I'm ready, and hes great and understanding but i still cant shift my own anxieties.

The only help I am there is to confirm that you had better wait until you're completely comfortable. And, obviously, tell your man about how you feel. Because trying to fake your way through that one is a recipe for disaster. In my experience, anyway.

Thats good advice. We did talk about it the other night and when we were fooling around, he asked me if i felt pressured, and i said no i didnt. I mean i was able to let him do many intimate things i wasnt ready for at first but now i feel i can.

I have a lot of admiration for the both of you. You, for being able to put your feelings into words and, him, for being such a gentleman about it.

Keep talking about it, is all I can say. Don't assume that, because you've talked about it once or twice, that "he knows." He does know, of course, but if you don't talk about it again and again (without being a nag, obviously), you can't expect him to know where you are at, in your process of getting more comfortable with him.

Yeah thats wise, each time we have gotten more comfortable and more intimate and if it gets too much he will stop. He said to me not to worry, there is no rush, and he is happy to wait til I am ready.

A quick update on my current situation:

We are still together, after 10 months we have managed to move into our own flat together. Living together is difficult at times but I wouldn't change it for the world. He's so tolerant of me
