I love nature, I love camping and being outdoors and when I have someone to walk with, I love walking on trails.

Walking w/ someone on trails is the best! A great way to talk to someone, and the calmness of the scenery.

I wanna go camping again!!

Yeah I want to go camping again too. The last time I went out was the summer when I had to work in Yellowstone.

I totally agree. That would be the perfect date too, to go walking on the trails. Especially during Autumn which I love.

I completely agree.

My perfect date would be stargazing. We go out camping one night (sleep in seperate tents of course) and then just stay up watching the stars. I haven't done that in a long while. I thirst for the night sky.

Ooh, a nature thread!

I absolutely love camping It's been so long since I've been - now that I'm grown. I miss it!

My dream job would be (well minus Sea World) working as a type of wildlife rehabilitator So, I definitely love animals and such.

Hey LG. Yeah that used to be my dream job too but there's something about working with animals in their un-natural habitat that bothers me. I'd rather much study them in the wild where nature intended. But that's just me.

*nods* That's very true. That's why I 'd like to rehabilitate them and help them get back into the wild.

Though, I have a thing for dolphins - that's where my Sea World love comes from... but you're right

Has anyone been rock climbing? On actual rocks? I did once on a camping trip, and this thread is bringing back memories

Never done rock climbing. I've wanted to though. It seems like a lot of work but fun at the same time. In my Survive or Perish english class we read "Between a Rock and a Hard Place" by Aaron Ralston and he has a big love for climbing. It was fascinating to read his survival tale.

Finally got soaked in nature. Last night I did a spotlight count for the Forest Service. Even though I was there to do volunteer work I still couldn't helped but be emmersed in it. The weather was perfect, a little chilly but nothing a beany, thermal clothing, and a jacket and gloves couldn't protect.

The sky was cloudless and there was just thousands of stars overhead. It felt right. I counted 5 satellites and even a shooting star! And then the natural smell of things. It had been a long while since I had that feeling and I loved it! It's one that can never be forgotten but one that is easily missed.

During the spotlight count, I counted 16 deer, 8 javelinas, 2 skunks, 2 rabbits, and even a mouse.

All was right with the world!
