It works by accessing the underlying cause of the phobia. I wouldn't expect it to alleviate it altogether, but maybe to just be a little helpful for me.
Has anyone every tried hypnotism to overcome a fear/phobia? __________________

I'm not a big fan of hypnotism, which is odd because I'm a psychologist student so I should be all for those kinds of "experiments" but they don't seem very scientific or as a garantee for success for me.

no fear is a stupid fear. people may not understand them, but it's never stupid.So that bridge. Had to drive over it..in rush hour traffic this morning. Nearly had a panic attack. the only thing that saved me was my sister talking on speaker phone the entire time. I thank God I had the time to take the long bridge avoiding way home after my appt.  my nerves are shot__________________

don't feel very brave at the moment I honestly thought I was gonna wet my pants. If this had been for anything other than about saving my life...I would have postponed it until I could have taken the long way. Seems dumb though...an appt for keeping me here and going batty to get to it... __________________
