Waterloo and ABBA are totally cool. I know a lot of ABBA songs, their music is fantastic and immortal.

Now I'm listening Madredeus, had anyone heard about them?

I love Madredeus! I had a huge phase on Portugal in high school (mainly coz I dated a guy from Coimbra

). I think the best album was the one from Wenders' Lisbon Story.

That might explain a bit since I was told that Italians were more interested in San Remo contest than Eurovision.

Ok, I started an Eurovision Song Contest thread at the Music Board and wondered why no one posted. It's because you're all here!

Finland made it to the final!

First time ever since the semifinal was introduced.

I hope we do well in the final too. IMO we have one of the best songs but we all know this contest stopped being about the songs a long time ago.

I'm Polish and I live in France so since Poland is out you can say go France but frankly the song is probably very bad so don't bother

Oh no problem, Poland had terrible band. OMG who did this to our country! Here is a lot of good singers, singing better than this band.

I heard a small clip of the song in the semifinal broadcast yesterday but unfortunately I don't remember what kind of song it was, the clip was so short. All I remember is that it was in French.

Heh, we have a lot of experience of sending crappy participants to the contest from the past few years.

Luckily this year it looks like we made the right choice. All the other candidates we had sucked just as much as our previous contenders.
